1979 Magazine write-up with color photo of the MASERATI MERAK.Article heading says:
"Highway Snobbery" -- Poor little rich boys: If all you have left to stuff your stocking is #34,000, take a look at the Maserati Merak.
Article was written by Wade Hoyt. It appeared in the December 1979 issue of Penthouse magazine. I was able to save these two pages from a damaged issue of that magazine. The opposite side of these pages have parts of unrelated articles. Pages measure 7 3/4" x 10 3/4".
The article begins:
Maserati is one of the legendary names in Italian exotic cars, right up there with Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Alfa Romeo. The firm was founded by five brothers: Alfieri, Ettore, Ernesto, Carlo, and Bindo Maserati. Unfortunately, the brothers were better engineers than businessmen, and in 1932 the company was sold to a family of industrialists named Orsi. Under the Orsis, Maserati had some brilliant racing successes, but in 1968 Maserati was sold again, this time to Citroen, the French carmaker...
