Vintage Brown African Americana Handmade Rag Doll
Decade: 1970s- most of the dolls items are machine made and her design of clothing looks like a pioneer girl or a farmer's daughter
This beautifully handcrafted doll has shiny black button eyes, a little button nose and hand-stitched mouth. She has thick black yarn hair, tied with two grosgrain ribbon bows. Her handcrafted pinafore has lace trim at hem, collars and neck. She has a hook and loop closures at the back of the neck and waist (for dress removal). Her custom-made undergarments, underskirt and bloomers, which match the pinafore, are tied at the waist. She is entirely handcrafted and custom made.
She is a large doll, stands 24 inches tall and 9 inches at the widest point. She is weighs 2lbs.
This doll is a lovingly crafted piece of historical art, and would make a great addition to any Collection.
Excellent overall condition, no major flaws.
