Do you know that in this modern world.
the magnetic tape has become almost
essential? To produce a magnetic tape
record, the electrical vibrations from the
microphone are led to an amplifier which
magnifies them so that they can be made
to work an electro-magnet, called the
Recording Head The plastic tape is
coated with Magnetic Iron Oxide and is
drawn across the tiny gap between the
pole pieces of the magnet thereby
magnetising the tape. Recording can be
immediately played back or erased, so
that the tape can be used over and over
again.
