    Late 19th Century Chinese Carved Jade Amulet/Plaque.
    Chinese nephrite jade carved amulet, the piece is incised with geometric, scroll and mythical beast motifs.

    c. Late 19th/early 20th century.
    This piece was carved in China in the late 19th/early 20th century following an earlier style and the gold fitting was added in the later part of the 20th century; originally worn on silk cord.
    Measures 3.5 inches x 2 inches. Tapered from top to bottom.  The top is 5mm thick.  The bottom is 3mm thick. Gold is unmarked but tests 14k.  Weighs 2.1 ounces.
