FORT WAYNE, INDIANA ST.JOE HOSPITAL NURSING LAUNDRY BAG+ PHOTOS+RARE
St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing-Fort Wayne, Indiana
This is part of some items that pretain to the old nursing school that was in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The lady that I purchased this " laundry sack" told me the sack was used for the nurses to put their work clothes in and send to the hospital laundry. I think this was back in the  late '40's or '50's era-but don't hold me to this time frame.
I am showing a picture of the sack flat -it is very clean given the age and has never been thru the laundry. It was found folded in a box. The size of this sack is 18 x 231/2 inches with a draw string at the top and a place for the name and address of the nurse who was using it.
ALSO included are 4 black and white photos(all the same) of a nun and nurses. These photos came along with this laundry bag--so I have to assume they are a photo of the graduates of that year of nursing school at St.Joseph's Hospital in Ft.Wayne, Indiana. One of the photos shows a stamped name on the back: CLEMENT B, SCHMIDT-Commercial Photographer-Ft.Wayne, Indiana. ALSO included is a"JIFFY MASKS" and info on how to wear/use.
