Beautiful Vintage Handmade Black Americana Cloth Doll 6" Shelf Sitter

This lovely vintage African American doll is a
beautiful lady with a hand-embroidered and applique face, white pinafore and pink dress. She is a shelf-sitter, just over 6" tall with no legs under the skirt (and her base is made from an old Tide detergent box!).
I'm not sure of her age but her Tide box stand has instructions for wringer washing machines so I'd say she's 1940s or 50s.
There are a couple of spots on her dress; I have not tried to clean it. Still a beautiful addition to a collection. It's not too early to shop for Christmas!
