antique small split reed woven basket folkart appalachian

Description

This was my Mother's trinket basket. She was Appalacian; Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia.  She was born sometime shortly after turn of the century. Some say she was born in 1903, there is no documentation to verify that. It measures: 2 3/4" high at sides outside, 5 1/4" long at top; 3 3/4" wide at top.  It is in good condition and has wonderful patina. The top rim is attached with tiny nails which show a lot of patina around them. It is well over 100 years old.  Mom passed away in 1986 at maybe 83 years old. I do not accept returns or give refunds.
