    Description

    ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1940s volunteer service pin for one thousand hours of service at Beverly Hospital in Massachusetts. The pin is in enameled sterling silver and is chained to a bar reading 1000.
    VINTAGE: Circa 1940s.
    SIZE: Approximately 1" in height and 3/4" in width with ¼" by 5/8" bar and 1-1/2" chain.
    MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Sterling silver.
    ATTACHMENT: Pin: vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch; bar: horizontal pin with drop-in locking swivel catch; chain.
    MARKINGS: DIEGES & CLUST STERLING on pin; STERLING on bar.
